3,000 Miles To Land
Filmed from a small support vessel in the open Atlantic Ocean, this piece focuses on the atmosphere and emotional scale of Liz Wardley's 3,000 mile row - capturing the stillness of the water, the tension of an approaching storm, and the small rituals that kept her grounded during three months alone at sea. An atmospheric study in isolation, the rhythm of daily habits, and resilience.
Karakter Wijnimport | Quinta de Pellada
A short atmospheric study of the makers behind the wines — the conversations, textures, and small details that shaped the evening’s mood. Filmed with an unobtrusive, observational approach, we moved with the rhythm of the event and built the piece around genuine, unposed interactions with each producer.
Karakter Wijnimport | Mamette Prevostini
Produced for Karakter Wijnimport, this short film captures the atmosphere of their Italy Wine Tasting in collaboration with Mamete Prevostini.
Set against the backdrop of Convento San Lorenzo, where the wines are made, the piece explores the connection between place, craft, and community — blending cinematic visuals with the textures and rhythm of the event itself.

Nic Compall
I create documentary-style short films that highlight the storytellers behind cultural and hospitality events — the artists, speakers, makers, and hosts who give these moments their meaning.
Recent work includes documentary pieces for wine producers, cultural venues, and emerging event series across Amsterdam. I’m currently collaborating with local venues and hotels on short documentary films that support their event programming.
My work has a very light-footed, observational style. It captures what’s already there: the people, the preparation, and the natural rhythm of the day — capturing real moments without staging or overproduction.
Each production focuses on the small details and the atmosphere of the venue, following the person or moment that gives each event its focus. Every film aims to tell a story: the build-up, the mood, the anticipation, and the feeling of what it’s truly like to be there.
If your event program could benefit from this type of story-driven, atmospheric documentary approach, I’d love to connect.
