Photographer and Filmmaker making Europe’s cultural life feel vibrant and alive
I’m an independent artist working in filmmaking and photography based in Amsterdam.
I’m drawn to the people who shape a place’s cultural life — the makers, hosts, and institutions that give a city its character — and to the quieter tension underneath that: that identity is built through what we construct together, and just as much through solitude, our capacity to reflect and withdraw.
My photography traces that tension across four series — Dreamscapes, Passing, Doubles, Emersion — each asking the viewer to complete something they’re only given a part of: a form below a waterline, a scene assembled from unrelated fragments, a walk stitched together across different coastlines and seasons.
My work in film follows the same thread from the other direction: a growing set of documentaries about people who have designed their lives around what they create, and their different relationships to isolation, or to the thing they’ve made.
I’ve worked with museums and cultural institutions including the House of Dreams museum in London, the Amsterdam Marionetten Theatre, Beurs van Berlage and Hotel Ambassade, one of Amsterdam’s renowned art hotels.
Whether it’s an event, a cultural programme, or something more personal, this is the place to start. Let’s talk about how it could be captured on film.
